Although you may join our classes at any time, please register early as class sizes are limited. If you enrol after the term begins, tuition will be pro-rated accordingly.
Your completed and signed enrolment form reserves your place in a particular class. You will receive confirmation of enrolment by email. If in the event the class you have chosen is full, we will contact you to discuss other alternatives.
A completed enrolment form and payment in full must be received before enrolment can be confirmed. You will receive confirmation of enrolment by email within 48 hours. Term fees are due before your first lesson.
Twin, Triplet and Second Child Discounts
Kindermusik with Andrea Crosswell gives discounts for twins and children from the same family in the SAME class. The second child receives a 25% discount on tuition fees.
Tuition refunds or credit towards future classes may be given if there are extenuating circumstances requiring withdrawal from class. All refund requests will be considered on an individual basis. Digital home materials are not able to be refunded once received.
Choosing a Program
The age recommendations for the Kindermusik programs have been carefully chosen to best group children in an age and developmentally appropriate way. Therefore, it is important that your child be at least the minimum age by the start of the program in which you are enrolling. Please note that these ages are guidelines only and each child is assessed individually to determine where they would be best suited.
Making the Most of Kindermusik Classes
Plan to arrive 5 minutes early for class. Arriving a little before class provides time for your child to settle into the musical environment as they prepare to enjoy exploring instruments, reading books, or listening to music.
We do request that toys, drinks, and dummies be kept out of sight, and that snacks be finished prior to class. Be sure to dress comfortably and remove shoes before sitting down to join the class.
During the class, the most important thing you can do for your child is to be an active and patient role model. It is not uncommon for a child to attend several classes before feeling comfortable. Don’t be discouraged – what a child is absorbing in class is often evidenced in the home environment rather than in a certain level of participation in class.
The understanding and consistency of the parent or caregiver in class and at home are key to facilitating musical learning and growth.
You and your child will benefit enormously from the Kindermusik experience, especially if you make active use of your Digital Home Materials. Frequent reinforcement at home through the week makes all the difference in a child’s comfort and participation in the classroom.
Like all of us, children can occasionally have a challenging day. If your child is visibly upset or unsettled (crying, screaming, running – it happens to all of us), please take a moment to reconnect with them or step outside the classroom to give yourselves a chance to regroup or calm down. Do come back in as soon as you can.
Illness and Make–up Policy
If you or your child is unwell, please stay at home. It is imperative not to bring to class any illness that may affect the entire group. Please notify me of your absence by email or text message as early as practical. We are happy to allow students who miss a class to make up that class. Simply email in advance to schedule another time.
Classes will be made up in the event of teacher illness. I will notify you of the cancellation and the scheduled make-up date.
Public Holidays and Pupil Free Days
Kindermusik with Andrea Crosswell does not hold any classes on Public Holidays but we do teach on Pupil Free days.
